Fat Santa Slot Review: No Printed Ceiling, Two RTPs
In short — our verdict: 6.2/10 — Fat Santa is a Push Gaming slot that earns its keep in Free Games and prints no maximum win anywhere; we score it 6.2 out of 10, and the studio's free demo is the place to read its rules before any stake.
You get 50 fixed lines, a best line prize of 20x the bet and a Santa who only ever lands on reel one. The trouble is everything the maker leaves unsaid, starting with how much the game can pay.

Fat Santa Strengths and Weaknesses
Pros: What Works Well
- Pro: The Free Games trigger is easy to read: Santa in the first column and one wild pie anywhere, then five spins follow.
- Pro: The client prints its RTP, 96.45%, and a separate 96.59% for the Bonus Buy on the Game Info screen.
- Pro: Autoplay will not start without a loss limit, set anywhere from x5 to x100 the bet.
- Pro: There is no turbo switch, and the demo holds every spin for at least 2,500 ms.
- Pro: Push Gaming Holding Plc holds an active British licence, 054984-R-332139-013, checkable by account number 54984.
Cons: What Holds It Back
- Con: No maximum win is printed anywhere, and the studio's only big figure, 3,844x, also sits on its Fat Rabbit page.
- Con: The maker lists 96.45% and 94.15%; in its own demo only the Game Info screen, which a player has to open, showed the running figure.
- Con: Hit rate is published nowhere, so our one-in-four from 96 spins is the only figure on offer.
- Con: The base game paid back 26.66 on 48.00 staked across our 96 spins; the value waits in Free Games.
- Con: The Sleigh Feature fired three times in our session and paid nothing on any of them.
- Con: Volatility comes as one studio label, "Mid - High", with no scale behind it.

Fat Santa on 50 Fixed Lines
Fat Santa plays on a 5x5 grid with 50 fixed win lines, paying left to right from the leftmost reel across consecutive reels. Only the highest win on each line counts, though separate lines add up within a spin. You pick a total bet from 12 levels between 0.25 and 100.00, there is no line-bet control, and the client starts you at 0.50.
Three wilds share the work. Fat Santa lands only on reel one and stands in for every symbol. The Christmas Pie and the Wild Christmas Pie cover everything except Santa. This client has no scatter, no jackpot, no gamble round and no turbo.
Push Gaming released the game in November 2018. Its press release, "Fat Santa has arrived", carries the date ; catalogues give 1 November or 21 November instead.
The demo we played reported server version 2.24.0 and client 10.21.6, dated 26-10-2026.
A Top Line Prize of 20x
A single line pays at most 20 times the bet. At a 0.50 stake that is 10.00 for five elves. The paytable lists five Santas at the same 10.00, yet Santa lands only on reel one in the base game, and no screen we read explains how a line of five Santas forms. Here is the whole paytable at that stake, for five, four and three of a kind.

| Symbol | Five | Four | Three |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fat Santa | 10.00 | 2.00 | 0.40 |
| Elf | 10.00 | 2.00 | 0.40 |
| Reindeer | 8.00 | 1.50 | 0.30 |
| Snowman | 5.00 | 1.00 | 0.20 |
| Present | 3.00 | 0.80 | 0.16 |
| Red and orange baubles | 1.00 | 0.40 | 0.10 |
| Lime and green baubles | 0.80 | 0.30 | 0.08 |
The pies pay nothing on their own and only complete lines. Push Gaming lists returns of 96.45% and 94.15% and labels the volatility "Mid - High", without explaining the scale behind the label. Read the bottom rows with that in mind. Three green baubles return 0.08 on a 0.50 spin, about a sixth of the stake, so a lone low line wins back less than it cost.
No Printed Maximum Win
Fat Santa has no published maximum win, and every ceiling in circulation belongs to someone other than the game. The client's Game Info screen carries no maximum-payout line. The platform settings shipped with the demo switch that line off, with a flag called rulesShowMaximumPrize set to false.

The studio's game page prints a "HIGHEST OBSERVED WIN" of 3,844x. The same 3,844x stands on its Fat Rabbit page, a different game. That makes it read like a template value, not a measurement of this slot. An observed win isn't a ceiling either; at the default 0.50 bet it would come to 1,922.00.
Catalogues fill the gap with 6,400x (some print 6,405x) and 10,233x. Those two figures disagree with each other by 60%, and the studio prints neither of them.
Our working rule is simple. The 20x line prize is the only top figure the game states about itself. Anything bigger depends on several lines, wilds and Free Games stacking up, and nobody publishes a limit for that. When a page quotes "max win 10,233x" as fact, ask whose number it is.
Two RTP Builds for One Slot
Push Gaming lists two returns for this slot, 96.45% and 94.15%, side by side with a two-sentence note: "RTP's may vary per casino. The RTP of the game can be found in the user panel and on the game loading screen." In the demo we played, neither the loading screen nor the bottom panel showed a figure. The Game Info screen did, before the first spin, and it read 96.45%. So the build is readable from inside the game, on a screen the maker doesn't name, provided the player opens it. What a copy on the 94.15% build prints there, we have not seen.
| Source | Figure | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Client Game Info | 96.45% | printed in the demo |
| Studio game page | 96.45% and 94.15% | "may vary per casino" |
| Bonus Buy, client | 96.59% | printed in the demo |
| Catalogues | 95.28%, 90.51%, 94.18% | not printed by the studio |
The 2.30-point gap sounds small until stakes go on it. Over 1,000 spins at 0.50, which is 500.00 staked, the theoretical long-run shortfall is 17.75 on the 96.45% build against 29.25 on the 94.15% one. That is an average across a very long run, not a forecast for any session.
The Bonus Buy is the oddity here. The client gives it 96.59%, 0.14 points above the base game. In the demo build, buying the round returns slightly more than spinning for it. That 96.59% comes from the 96.45% client, and we have not seen a Bonus Buy figure for the 94.15% build. If it holds there, buying would return 2.44 points more than spinning on that build; that's arithmetic, not advice.
Free Games Carry Fat Santa
Free Games are where this slot keeps its value, and the door is narrow. Santa has to land on reel one together with at least one Wild Christmas Pie anywhere, and that pairing awards five free spins. Santa stays on the reels for the whole round and walks to every pie that lands. Each pie goes into a meter. A full meter adds three spins the first time, then two, two and one, and Santa grows at every fill.

Our 96 spins produced three rounds, the first on spin 61 and the other two only two spins apart, on 94 and 96. Each ran to eight spins, five plus three from one meter fill, and none reached the second fill. The payouts were 20.62, 14.06 and 11.20, or 41, 28 and 22 times the stake.
Those three rounds made up 45.88 of the 72.54 the session returned. The base game alone gave back 26.66 on 48.00 staked, about 55.5%. Without Free Games this would have been a losing session by a distance.
The Bonus Buy skips the wait. At 0.50 it costs 40.00, eighty times the base bet, and it guarantees Santa on reel one with one to four Wild Christmas Pies on reels two to five. We didn't buy during the 96-spin session. Two purchases later that day returned 63.06 (126x the bet) and 13.50 (27x), so 76.56 back on 80.00 spent. Two purchases measure nothing about the printed 96.59%. We do not recommend judging the feature by a single purchase. One buy costs as much as 80 base spins, and our best natural round, 20.62, came to about half of that price.
Santa's Sleigh and Its Pies
Santa's Sleigh Feature fires at random during a spin. The sleigh drops Christmas Pies on random positions, where they lock and act as wilds. It looks generous on screen.
In our session the sleigh came three times, leaving four, four and three pies, and none of those spins paid a single line. A pie can't choose its square, so a wild on reel five does nothing unless matching symbols run to it from reel one. Three blanks from three sleighs is a tiny sample. Still, it's a fair corrective to the intro screen, which bills the feature as "random wilds" as though that were a prize.
What 96 Demo Spins Can Show
Ninety-six spins can show how the game behaves, not what it returns. A 96.45% figure is a long-run average, and a sample this short swings far wider than the 2.30-point gap between the two builds. Our net gain of 24.54 is luck, not evidence.

What the sample does show is texture. Twenty-three of 96 spins paid something, roughly one in four. The best single free spin on our spin-by-spin record, which covers two of the three rounds, paid 9.02, or 18x the bet. Our best natural round of 20.62 therefore needed at least three paying spins. Hit rate isn't published anywhere, which leaves our one-in-four as the only figure on offer, and we'd want thousands of spins before leaning on it.
Everything in this review comes from the studio's demo, game page and press release, and two supplier registers; catalogue figures are labelled as catalogue figures. We logged each spin's result, read every rules screen in full and checked the licences by name and account number.
Before Playing for Money
Three checks come before any stake, in this order. The first is what the law where you live allows, since gambling rules differ from one country to the next. The second is a site licensed there, with a licence number that checks out in that regulator's own register. The third is the copy's Game Info screen, which printed 96.45% in the demo.
The demo itself runs on Push Gaming's own site behind an 18+ gate and plays in FUN credits from a 1,000.00 balance. Our where-to-play page walks through those checks one step at a time, with Gambling Therapy and Gamblers Anonymous as the free help it names.
Push Gaming in Three Registers
Push Gaming checks out in two registers we could read and a third we could only quote.
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Great Britain: | Push Gaming Holding Plc, account 54984, licence 054984-R-332139-013 |
| Sweden: | three Push Gaming companies, software licences valid to |
| Malta: | MGA/B2B/779/2020, issued , quoted from the studio footer only |
The British entry is the firmest. Account 54984 names Push Gaming Holding Plc, at an address in Ta' Xbiex, Malta. Its Gambling Software and Game Host (Casino) licence has been active since , and Gaming Machine Technical Software since . The studio's footer calls the same company "Holding Limited"; the register says Plc, and the register is the one to trust. The Malta Gaming Authority register would not open without a browser, so its number rests on the footer alone.
A supplier licence covers the studio that builds the game. It says nothing about any site that offers it, and it never replaces a check of that site's own licence where you live.
